About United En Garde Points

Points have been tracked since the inception of United En Garde, encompassing all 30 Premier Series tournaments, the one class championship from April 2008, and the new Challenger Series tournaments beginning in February 2009.  As new programs are introduced they will also be incorporated. Earning Points
Black, Bronze, Silver, or Gold points are awarded to all competitors in each tournament.  The colour depends on the size of the tournament, the performance of the fencer, and the class restrictions (if any) placed on entry.

Each fencer gets 2 points per win and 1 point per loss.

Classes Based on Points
As fencers earn points for tournament performances they earn classifications.
    * Fencers with 6 or fewer points are Unclassified.
    * A fencer with 7 points of any color becomes Class C.
    * A fencer with 13 Bronze, Silver, and/or Gold points becomes Class B.
    * A fencer with 19 or more Silver and/or Gold points becomes Class A.
    * A fencer with 25 or more Gold points becomes Class AA.
Black points are not tracked after a fencer earns a class.  Bronze points are not tracked after a fencer attains Class B or higher
