TOURNAMENT RULES

Competition Rules:

Tournament Format - Elimination style tournament. The weekly winners will demonstrate their ability by successfully defeating all opponents. 100% of entry fee and prizes is returned to top 4 players on the day.

Premier Series - 50L Entry Fee. Open to all players, with the highest prize pool. We will not limit who can play in the Premier Series but they do so in full knowledge of the tougher opponents they face. This is identical to the current series that has operated successfully for 28 tournaments since January 2008.

Challenger Series - 25L Entry Fee. Learn the game, grow your abilities, rise to the top of the pack, then ascend to the Premier Series. These events are limited to Class C players and unclassified players in the UEG Class Ranking System. The class rankings are available here

60% winner + trophy
20% second
10% third
10% fourth

Hosting a United En Garde Tournament:

These tournaments are unique as they represent many En Garde owners. The venue will change for each tournament. We have in-world signs, website, and a personal HUD that will allow our members to find the next tournament. We would appreciate your placing an in-world sign but it is optional.

- You must own or manage a full sim, either estate or mainland.
- Homestead and openspace sims will not work.
- Space is required for 4 or 8 En Garde strips.
- We can host 4 strips off site at one of our dedicated arenas.
- We are generally well behaved so PG sims are accepted, however we will remind players in tournament announcements prior to a PG event.

Why host?

- It's a great day to show off your sim
- Get traffic, between 20 - 40 people for a three-hour period.
- There is a long standing website record of your day.
- Increases search score
- We run the tournament so you can enjoy your day and guests
- It's a social day of En Garde players who are polite experienced avatars.

We can provide all additional strips for the tournament though we ask that you own at least one En Garde strip.

We have no financial gain or investment in game sales. We are En Garde owners who wanted to encourage play by connecting owners.

Prize pool comes from founders, sim owners, players and donations. You may donate any amount for your event but here is a minimum guideline of what we ask for to help maintain prizes in the competition:

Accepted Hosts

- Once accepted as a host sim you will be added to the roster.
- A UEG host will announce themselves during the week before your tournament date.
- The day before the tournament a UEG host will set up the strips, teleports and scoreboard.
- Your UEG host will also advise you on any issues they feel may impact play on the day.
- UEG hosts are experienced and often their advice makes the day better for all.
- Your UEG host will run the tournament, player registration, draw and cash prize payment.
- Any physical prizes donated by sim owners can be awarded personally.
- Sim owners are allowed to participate in tournaments.
- If you wish a theme dress or to give added prizes just notify your host.

We will require:

- a landmark to the sim of your choosing
- build or group access 1 day prior to setup the tournament.
- Your name or your representative if we should need assistance
